Software Developer – Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central

Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled and motivated Software Developer with experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (BC) to join our technology team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience developing extensions using AL language, customizing Business Central environments, integrating third-party applications, and leveraging Microsoft Azure tools for identity and performance management. This role involves designing, developing, testing, and deploying Business Central solutions that support our internal business processes and strategic objectives. Key Responsibilities:Design and develop customizations, extensions, and integrations for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central using AL Language and Visual Studio Code. Customize and maintain BC objects (tables, pages, reports, codeunits, queries, XMLports, etc.). Work with Business Central architecture components, including SQL Server, Web Server, and Application Server. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business analysts, functional consultants, and end-users to translate requirements into technical solutions. Utilize Azure Active Directory (Microsoft Entra ID) for secure identity and access management. Implement and maintain APIs and web services for external systems integration. Use performance profiling tools (e.g., AL Profiler in VS Code) to analyze and optimize AL code. Troubleshoot issues, debug problems, and perform root cause analysis in live and test environments. Maintain technical documentation and follow best practices for version control (Git/DevOps). Participate in software testing, code reviews, and release management processes. Required Skills & Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 2+ years of hands-on experience with Dynamics 365 Business Central / NAV Development. Strong proficiency in AL Language, Visual Studio Code, and Business Central Extensions. Familiarity with Business Central architecture, including Application Server, Web Server, and SQL. Experience with Azure Active Directory / Microsoft Entra ID for user authentication and access management. Understanding of REST APIs, OData, and JSON for system integrations. Familiarity with Git, Azure DevOps, or other version control systems.
