Location -Patna Job type-full time Experience-2-8 years Salary-25000 -40000 Job summary:  We are seeking a skilled Unix Developer with hands-on experience in both hardware and software-side development.  The ideal candidate will work on designing, implementing, and maintaining Unix/Linux-based systems for our GPS devices and tracking platforms. You will be responsible for creating shell scripts, managing embedded Linux environments, and working closely with hardware teams to ensure smooth communication between GPS modules, sensors, and cloud-based applications. A strong understanding of Unix/Linux OS, system-level programming, embedded development, and hardware communication protocols is essential. Key responsibilities   Develop and maintain Unix shell scripts for automation and process optimization. Design and implement batch jobs, cron jobs, and system tasks. Work with backend teams to integrate Unix-based applications with databases and other systems. Debug and troubleshoot issues in a Unix/Linux production environment. Ensure secure and efficient handling of files, logs, and process data. Collaborate with DevOps and support teams for deployments and monitoring. Key skills required: Strong experience with Unix/Linux OS Proficient in Shell Scripting (Bash, Korn, etc.) Familiar with Perl/Python (optional but preferred) Knowledge of Cron jobs, file handling, process management Experience with SQL or Oracle database scripting Version control using Git Understanding of production support, log analysis Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field  Preferred Skills : Experience with DevOps tools (e.g., Jenkins, Docker) Exposure to cloud environments (AWS/Linux EC2) Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.
