Overview:
Windows Developer – Product
Quest is looking for an experienced Windows Software Developer. You will be part of Quest’s growing Data Protection group and work to enhance the products in its portfolio. Your duties will include designing and developing features primarily in the area of data backup and recovery. The successful candidate will have a strong sense of what works well for the Windows platform and be a champion for ensuring cross platform components are designed and implemented with Windows support in mind. You will work in a fast-paced environment with an experienced and highly technical team of Quest engineers to solve a wide range of unique and fascinating problems.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop key features for Quest’s Windows-based data recovery and backup products
- Create high-quality code with excellent performance characteristics
- Be a champion for Quest’s data protection product line
- Be an advocate for getting solid designs and implementations incorporated into the product
- Develop, support, and provide initial troubleshooting for internal and field issues
Qualifications:
- Strong C# programming skill
- Expereince in C,C++ programming is prefrred
- Thorough understanding of the Windows API
- Experience with Windows storage components/products such as VSS, backup software, Hyper-V, etc.
- Experience with ASP.Net/MVC
- Expert with Microsoft Visual Studio
- Expert using Windows debugging tools
- Expert with at least one Windows scripting language (VBScript, Jscript, etc.)
- Linux experience, including porting to Windows, a strong plus but not required Save
- Worked on multiple products through the full product life cycle from product concept to product release
- Demonstrated track record of being a key contributor to successful products
- Excellent initiative and motivation
- Ability to work independently and drive problems to a solution with minimum supervision
- Minimum of 8years of Windows software development experience
- BE in CS, ECE or related field, MS/MTech preferred
