Job Description

The Social Worker role at Bright Future is centered around collaborating with schools, CBTC (Community-based Training Centre), and YDTCs (Youth Development and Training Centres) to advance the organization's programs and initiatives. Your primary objective in this position is to actively involve stakeholders to enhance their engagement in the programs offered by the organization. By achieving this, you will contribute to supporting the development of adolescents and youth in crucial areas such as life skills and employability. Ultimately, your efforts will play a key role in realizing Bright Future's vision of establishing a seamless connection between education and employability starting from the school level. Your responsibilities in this role include conducting community mapping and profiling exercises to identify key stakeholders and potential partner schools. You will be responsible for designing and facilitating stakeholder engagement activities based on the outcomes of the aforementioned exercises. Additionally, organizing events, sessions, and workshops for communities, parents, youth groups, NGOs, and other stakeholders will be part of your duties to raise awareness through the CBTC - Community Building and Training Center. Furthermore, you will be tasked with creating a pipeline of youth, adolescents, and schools and preparing a database to ensure the smooth implementation of programs with the support of alumni and Change Leaders. Your role will involve mobilizing youth and adolescents to meet the expected enrollments in the programs and conducting follow-ups through calls or home visits to ensure consistent attendance and address any potential issues proactively. Coordination with relevant authorities to obtain permissions for exposure visits and monitoring activities such as Drama for Development (D4D) will also fall under your purview. It will be essential to maintain thorough documentation of the program for input into the monitoring and evaluation system, including data on mobilization, planning, stakeholder forms, community profiles, permission letters, meeting minutes, individual meeting forms, event photographs, community event reports, and school profiles. The compensation for this role is competitive and aligns with industry standards. The qualifications required for this position include a Master of Social Work or Social Sciences, coupled with a minimum of 1 year of experience in community work, preferably involving youth or adolescence. You should possess knowledge about working with adult stakeholders, especially in identifying parents facing parenting challenges and educating them on potential solutions. In terms of skills, you should excel in planning and event management, influencing and counseling, written and oral communication, resource mobilization, networking, stakeholder communication, documentation, basic computer proficiency (MS PowerPoint, Excel, and Word), analytical and critical thinking, leadership, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. This role entails a 6-day work week, reflecting the commitment required to effectively carry out the responsibilities associated with the Social Worker position at Bright Future.,
