Job Overview:

We are seeking a creative, organized, and strategic Social Media Specialist to manage and grow the online presence of Apollo International School. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating, curating, and managing engaging content across all social media platforms to promote the school’s values, activities, and achievements, and to foster community engagement with students, parents, staff, and the wider community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with the school’s mission and goals.
• Create high-quality, engaging, and original content (text, images, videos, and graphics) tailored for platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
• Manage daily posts and monitor engagement, messages, and comments to ensure timely and appropriate responses.
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and administration to gather content for social media updates (events, classroom activities, achievements, etc.).
• Plan and schedule posts using social media tools.
• Monitor and analyze performance metrics (engagement, reach, followers, etc.) and generate monthly reports to evaluate success and recommend improvements.
• Stay up-to-date with current trends in education, social media, and digital marketing.
• Ensure that all content upholds the school’s values and maintains privacy and child-safety guidelines.
• Cover live events such as sports days, cultural fests, academic fairs, and other school functions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Proven work experience as a Social Media Specialist or similar role.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Creative mindset with attention to detail in visual storytelling.
• Proficiency in graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator) is a plus.
• Knowledge of social media analytics and tools.
• Familiarity with school environments and an understanding of educational content tone is preferred.
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently, with strong organizational skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Photography and basic video editing.
• Experience with school communications or social media.
