Founded in 2010 by four passionate animal lovers, Youth Organization in Defence of Animals (YODA) is a registered charity based in Mumbai focused on making human-animal co-existence better. YODA provides prompt free medical services for abandoned, injured, or ill-treated homeless animals, and rehabilitates animals who have experienced trauma. The organization shelters and rehabilitates homeless or elderly animals until they are fit for adoption or release, and works towards reducing stray populations through vaccination and sterilization. YODA also promotes education and awareness to create a cruelty-free city for animals.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Social Media Assistant located in Mumbai. The Social Media Assistant will be responsible for creating and managing social media content and engaging with the community online. Day-to-day tasks include writing posts, creating multimedia content, scheduling updates, monitoring social media channels, responding to comments, and analyzing performance metrics to optimize strategies. Assisting in developing social media strategies, including marketing budgets and a yearly impact plan. Tracking analytics, preparing reports, and suggesting ways to optimize performance.

Qualifications

• Social Media Content Creation and Writing skills
• Experience in Social Media Marketing
• Strong Communication skills
• Familiarity with various social media platforms
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Passion for animal welfare and advocacy is a plus
• Experience in a non-profit organization is beneficial
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field is preferred
