Why the positions existsb. What will happen if there is no one in the position (no one performs the work)This role exists to conceptualize, specify & develop the digital Instrument clusters, Head up displays (Combiner & Windshield (AR)), subsystems, in line with defined Technical Policy and Technology Roadmap, for all PVBU and EVBU vehicles. This role defines Standards & Carryover Strategy of the EE modules, submodules, and drives it's Engineering, aligned to the QCT of the projects.. Dimensions of the position Non-Financial :- 1- 4 TML resources Financial :- -- NA Communications Stakeholder Internal/External Nature of relations Frequency VMTL / Project Leader Internal Ensure that the right EE Hardware/Software are integrated into a given program Design Reviews, Timeline review against project milestones and targets. Resolve technical issues during vehicle builds, SOP, field. Ensure commonality of Hardware/Software across Platforms/Projects Budget planning for Manpower, FSS Fortnightly APC Internal Application of component roadmap into Projects Concept selection Review PMXU of EE software/hardware Create concepts to suit the mechanical architectural requirements As per proj. milestone NTD Internal Firm up the Technology roadmap, execute and develop accordingly As per project milestone Principal Engineer Internal Design reviews Review foundation DFMEA, RFQ, DVP Budget reviews Create the standards of development for a commodity Create design guidelines for aggregates Drive VAVE Review levers of productivity improvement Escalation of red issues at program DR gates with mitigation Suppliers / P&SQ External Understand supplier technology roadmap and create commodity cycle plans Review TRSO for selection of supplier Review part development/validation & progress against the program milestones Review technical issues from validation and field As per roadmap Consultants & Engineering Service Providers External Engage for new competency development. Review Project progress and technology development As and when required VE/ VATS Internal Discuss & agree on generic evolution of PAT requirements. Signoff on testing and validation requirements and track accordingly Provide technical deviations and conformance plans KO- DR4 As and when required Personal Profile Education Engineering Graduate in Electrical and Electronics Skills/Competencies 1) Product Development 2) Innovation 3) Customer Centricity 4) Driving Execution 5) People Management Relevant Experience : 1) 12+ years of experience in domain of Cockpit Electronics system development 2) Should have knowledge of advance display technologies. 3) Knowledge of ECU features & software requirements, Validation test cases. 4) Knowledge of Haptics, Aesthetics,Gap & Flushness of cockpit parts 5) Knowledge of ECU V cycle development from concept to production from an OEM perspective. 6) Experience of at least 2 full product development cycles 7) Experience of new technology integration / development 8) Experience of team management Key Responsibilities : S.N. Key Responsibility & Key Tasks Measures 1 Innovation and Technology management: Keep abreast with Technology trends and relevant technology providers Map feasibility of application of new technologies over a time horizon and propose a technology roadmap TCDS (Technology creation & development system ) milestones cleared as per plan Develop technologies as per approved roadmap Execute and document milestones of TCDS process 2 Develop Capability: Create short and medium term engineering capability plans to achieve functional objectives Formulate component/aggregate strategy Formulate guidelines and best practices for the aggregate based on the learnings from the projects (TGR & TGW). Create & update foundation DFMEAs for the aggregate Meeting Targets in the BSC 3 Product Development Drive the engineering, development, testing & validation of the sub modules Review progress of project and review and approve DMLs to meet the best practices for CoC Implement best practices to find and solve problems in the project. Drive VAVE for their aggregates as per the yearly targets. Guide and Review cost and weight effective solutions and propose implementation in the project Participate in resolution of escalated issues by VMTL & Project Leader Support delivery of the aggregates as per the project timeline, within the defined cost and quality targets 4 People Management measures to bridge gaps in skills and competencies for Cascade of BSC targets to individual KRA s. Monitor performance and provide individual feedback to direct and wherever necessary indirect reports. Capture the current and future skills and competency requirements for all the VE roles.
