SME Mechanical Rotary

Role Overview: As a Mechanical Subject Matter Expert (SME) specializing in rotary equipment, you will play a crucial role in supporting a major offshore oil & gas project. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the technical integrity, reliability, and performance of rotating equipment from the design phase through to commissioning and handover. Key Responsibilities: - Provide expert input on the selection, design, and specification of rotating equipment such as pumps, compressors, turbines, power generators, and motors. - Review vendor documents, including datasheets and technical drawings, to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards. - Support Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs), Site Acceptance Tests (SATs), and commissioning activities. - Troubleshoot mechanical issues and provide support for reliability engineering related to rotating machinery. - Interface with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure seamless integration of rotary systems. - Ensure strict adherence to API, ISO, ASME codes, and offshore safety standards. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from a recognized University. Additional Details: - Overall experience of at least 20 years in the Oil and Gas industry with a minimum of 15 years of experience in deep-water/offshore projects focusing on mechanical/rotary systems in offshore settings. - Proven track record of working with critical rotating equipment packages in the upstream oil & gas sector.
