Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Project Execution & Construction

Lead the end-to-end execution of solar projects at the site, including civil, structural, mechanical (module mounting structures, module installation), and electrical (DC & AC side) works.
Ensure timely installation of solar PV modules, inverters, transformers, switchgear, and evacuation infrastructure.
Manage day-to-day activities of EPC contractors, subcontractors, and site teams.
Ensure all work adheres to project specifications, quality standards, and health & safety protocols.

Planning & Coordination

Prepare and monitor site-level project schedules, resource plans, and progress reports.
Coordinate with HO/project management office for procurement, logistics, and engineering issues.
Conduct regular site meetings with contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
Track material delivery, inventory, and resource availability to prevent delays.

Quality, Safety & Compliance

Implement and enforce strict quality control and HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) practices at site.
Ensure compliance with local regulations, statutory clearances, and environmental norms.
Conduct safety toolbox talks, audits, and risk assessments regularly.

Commissioning & Handover

Supervise testing and commissioning of solar power systems including inverters, transformers, switchyard, and SCADA integration.
Coordinate with utility/discoms for synchronization and grid connection activities.
Prepare project handover documentation and as-built records.
