Position Title: Execution Head Department: Project Execution / Operations Location: Pan-India (Corporate HQ in Pune, frequent project site travel) Experience Required: 15-20 Years Qualification: Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering & Project management Team Size Managed: 75+ Employees Projects Handled: Ability to manage 10+ EPC/Infra projects simultaneously across India Industry: Renewable Energy – Wind & Solar, Electrical Infrastructure, EPC Projects Role Overview The Execution Head will lead and oversee the complete execution of Electrical infrastructure projects across multiple locations in India. This role requires a strong leader with deep technical knowledge, multi-project management expertise, and the ability to drive on-time, high-quality delivery while maintaining safety, cost efficiency, and client satisfaction. The candidate must have hands-on experience in delivering large-scale renewable projects and managing diverse execution teams. Key Responsibilities 1. Project Execution & Delivery Lead end-to-end execution of Infra Electrical EPC projects , including substations upto 33KV, transmission lines, and solar plant infrastructure Oversee simultaneous execution of 10+ projects across India ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality requirements. Coordinate planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and progress tracking for all ongoing projects. Ensure compliance with technical specifications, industry standards, and regulatory guidelines. Ensuring safe execution and maintain a safe environment. 2. Team Leadership & Management Manage and mentor a team of 75+ professionals including project managers, site engineers, and technical staff. Drive a culture of accountability, teamwork, safety, and high performance. Strengthen execution capabilities through training, development, and effective team structuring. 3. Stakeholder & Client Management Serve as the primary escalation point for project delivery issues. Collaborate closely with clients, consultants, vendors, and internal departments (Procurement, Design, Quality, Finance). Conduct regular reviews with senior leadership and provide accurate project status reports and timely delivery of projects 4. Budgeting, Cost Control & Resource Planning Prepare and monitor project budgets, cost forecasts, and consumption analyses. Optimize manpower, equipment, and material deployment across sites to maximize efficiency. Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising project quality or safety. 5. Quality Assurance & Safety Compliance Ensure implementation of QHSE standards across all sites. Conduct audits to ensure adherence to quality norms, safety procedures, and statutory requirements. Lead root-cause analysis for project deviations and drive corrective actions. 6. Vendor & Contractor Management Evaluate, onboard, and oversee contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers for civil and electrical works. Monitor performance, ensure contractual compliance, and resolve operational issues. 7. Process Improvement & Strategic Input Develop and refine project execution SOPs, checklists, and best practices. Provide strategic inputs to management on project planning, bid support, feasibility studies, and execution risks. Contribute to organizational growth initiatives, new technology adoption, and process automation. Required Skills & Competencies Strong technical expertise in electrical systems , renewable energy plants, substations, and transmission infrastructure. Proven experience managing large-scale, multi-site renewable energy projects . Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional coordination skills. Strong analytical ability with proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, ERP systems, etc.). High proficiency in contractor management, infrastructure execution methodologies, and risk mitigation. Availability for frequent travel to project sites across India. Preferred Background Experience in leading EPC execution for wind farms, solar parks, substations, and transmission line projects . Proven track record of delivering projects for IPPs, utilities, and large corporate clients. Prior experience working with renewable energy companies, electrical infra EPC firms, or power sector organizations. Experience in handling substation works, transmission lines, wind/solar electrical infrastructure, or industrial power systems. Experience in coordinating with DISCOMs, utilities, and statutory bodies.
