Site Manager 37 hours Band 7 Borders General Hospital Site and Capacity team.The site team at the BGH have an opening for an experienced nurse who has worked at band 6 or 7 level to join the team. We operate a day night rotation which this post will be.Working along side Our Charge Nurse team and Flow coordinator you will be the senior Decision maker for the shift.The job itself is very varied but the prime goal for the team is to facilitate patient flow from the Emergency Department to inpatient areas and through the BGH. This ensures that the EAS is met and the right patient gets to the right place at the right time. Working closely with Clinical Nurse and Service managers and General Managers to support the process and escalate to the relevant services for action.Other duties include ensuring safe staffing in the out of hours periods. Acting as senior nursing decision maker and support wards with these decisions to maintain patient safety.As the site manager you will be expected to attend fire, violence and aggression and clinical emergency calls and take charge of the situation.Informal visits and enquiries are very much welcomed!
