Job Description (JD) – Junior Installation Executive (Fire Door Division) Department: Projects / Installation Reporting To: Installation Supervisor / Project Engineer Location: Site-Based (Local / State / Pan India) Employment Type: Full-Time 1. Job PurposeThe Junior Installation Executive supports the installation team in carrying out proper, safe, and standard-compliant installation of fire-rated doors and related hardware at project sites. The role focuses on learning execution practices, assisting in site coordination, ensuring material handling, and following installation procedures under supervision. 2. Key ResponsibilitiesA. Installation SupportAssist senior technicians and supervisors in: Installation of fire-rated doors and frames Fixing of hinges, door closers, panic bars, locks, vision panels, and smoke seals Help in door alignment, leveling, and clearances as per standards. Perform sealing work using approved fire-rated sealants and packing materials under supervision. B. Site Preparation & Pre-ChecksAssist in checking site readiness before installation: Wall alignment Finished floor level Power availability for drilling tools Help in taking opening measurements and comparing them with drawings. Report any site issues or mismatches immediately to the supervisor. C. Material Handling & ProtectionAssist in: Receiving, unloading, shifting, and stacking of doors and frames Verifying materials with delivery challan and packing list Ensure proper storage and protection of doors from dust, moisture, and damage. Prevent material wastage and mishandling at site. D. Quality & Safety ComplianceFollow: Installation supervisor instructions strictly Site safety rules and PPE requirements Maintain cleanliness at the installation area after daily work. Ensure that no damage occurs to door leaf, frame, hardware, or vision panels. E. Coordination & ReportingAssist in daily site coordination with: Civil contractor Electrician Access control team (if applicable) Provide daily updates to the supervisor regarding: Work completed Pending areas Site challenges F. Testing, Handover & Snag Rectification SupportAssist in: Door swing testing Hardware testing Final snag rectifications Support final inspection with: Client Consultant Fire officers G. Service & Post-Installation SupportSupport senior engineers in: Attending service calls Warranty-related maintenance Door realignment and minor hardware repairs 3. Required QualificationsEducation: ITI / 10th / 12th Pass / Diploma in Mechanical / Civil / Electrical (Preferred) Experience: 0–2 years of experience in: Fire door installation Electrical / Civil / Modular installations Architectural hardware installation (Freshers can apply – training will be provided.) 4. Skills & CompetenciesBasic understanding of: Hand tools and power tools Measuring instruments Willingness to: Learn site execution Travel for projects Work at heights and in shifting environments Good: Physical stamina Teamwork attitude Discipline and punctuality Basic communication skills (Hindi / Local Language preferred) 5. Tools & Equipment (Basic Exposure)Drilling machines Hammer drills Laser level Grinding machine Sealant gun Anchors and fasteners 6.
