Job Description

Role Description The Site Engineer at Talrop will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day construction activities, ensuring compliance with project plans and specifications and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment on-site. This role requires strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with project teams and subcontractors. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field. 3+ years of experience in construction, supervision of projects. Responsibilities Oversee all on-site construction activities, including site preparation, excavation, foundation work, structural erection, MEP installations and finishing works, to ensure adherence to project plans, specifications and quality standards. Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure that construction activities meet or exceed industry standards and client expectations. Enforce strict safety protocols and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment for all personnel on-site. Coordinate construction activities to ensure that project milestones and deadlines are met and progress is tracked according to the project schedule. Monitor material deliveries, inventory levels and usage on-site and coordinate with procurement teams to ensure timely availability of materials and supplies as per project requirements. Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers and vendors to ensure timely mobilisation, effective collaboration and resolution of issues affecting construction progress. Maintain accurate records of daily construction activities, including site reports, progress photos, inspection reports and as-built drawings, in compliance with project documentation requirements. Identify opportunities for process improvement, innovation and efficiency enhancement on-site and contribute to lessons learned sessions to support ongoing organisational learning and development. Skills Required Strong technical knowledge of construction methods, materials and building codes. Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings, plans and specifications. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders. Familiarity with construction management software (e.g. Procore, Primavera, Microsoft Project) is a plus. Willingness to work on-site and adapt to changing work conditions and schedules.
