Site Engineer

Job Role: Site Engineer (Residential Building Projects)

Experience: 2–3 Years
Industry: Civil Construction / Residential Building Projects

Key Roles & Responsibilities

1. Site Supervision & Execution

• Oversee day-to-day construction activities at the residential project site.
• Ensure work is executed as per drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Monitor civil works (excavation, footing, reinforcement, shuttering, PCC/RCC, masonry, plaster, flooring, waterproofing, etc.).
• Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure timely completion of tasks.

2. Quality Control

• Conduct quality checks for materials and workmanship.
• Ensure compliance with IS codes and project quality standards.
• Report any defects or non-conformities and ensure corrective actions.

3. Planning & Progress Monitoring

• Assist in preparing daily/weekly work schedules.
• Track project progress and update senior engineers/project managers.
• Ensure timely availability of materials, manpower, and equipment.

4. Drawings & Documentation

• Study architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
• Prepare and maintain daily site reports (DPR), checklists, and material consumption records.
• Ensure drawing revisions/changes are implemented at the site.

5. Safety Compliance

• Ensure safety protocols are followed by workers and subcontractors.
• Conduct toolbox talks and report any unsafe practices or incidents.

6. Coordination

• Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
• Assist in resolving site issues and technical problems.
• Attend site meetings and update project status.

7. Material Management

• Check material quality as per standards before approval.
• Monitor material usage and prevent wastage.
• Maintain stock records and raise requisitions when required.

8. Client & Management Reporting

• Prepare progress reports for management/client review.
• Support in handling inspections from clients/consultants.

Required Qualification

• B.Tech / B.E. in Civil Engineering or
• Diploma in Civil Engineering (with relevant site experience)

Key Skills

• Knowledge of residential building construction processes
• Ability to read and interpret drawings
• Basic understanding of AutoCAD, MS Office
• Strong coordination, communication & documentation skills
• Familiarity with site safety practices

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹28,000.00 per month
