Site Civil Engineer

Job Description – Site EngineerPosition: Site Engineer Department: Projects / Site Operations Location: Project Site(s) Reporting To: Project Manager / Operations Manager 1. Job PurposeThe Site Engineer is responsible for supervising, executing, and coordinating all site-related activities to ensure the project is completed on time, within budget, and with the highest quality and safety standards. 2. Key ResponsibilitiesA. Site Execution & SupervisionExecute and supervise all construction activities as per drawings, specifications, and project requirements. Ensure daily work progress aligns with the project schedule. Monitor labour productivity and allocate work efficiently. Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors for timely work execution. B. Technical & Quality ControlVerify workmanship and ensure adherence to quality standards. Check levels, measurements, and alignment before and after execution. Maintain compliance with IS codes, safety standards, and company guidelines. Assist in resolving technical issues and clarifying drawings with the engineering team. C. Materials ManagementPrepare daily material requirement plans. Ensure timely material availability at the site. Maintain stock registers and verify material receipts (GRN). Prevent material wastage and ensure proper storage. D. Documentation & ReportingPrepare daily progress reports (DPR) and submit to the Project Manager. Maintain site records, checklists, and quality formats. Assist in preparing bills, quantities, and measurements (MB). Support in preparing additional/variation work documentation. E. Coordination & CommunicationCoordinate with architects, structural engineers, and design teams for clarifications. Conduct site meetings with workers and subcontractors. Handle client interactions at the site professionally. F. Safety & ComplianceEnsure all site safety measures are implemented and followed. Conduct toolbox meetings and safety briefings. Report hazards, near-miss incidents, and safety violations. 3. Skills & Competencies RequiredStrong knowledge of civil construction activities. Ability to read and interpret drawings (civil, architectural, MEP). Excellent communication and coordination skills. Team management and leadership. Problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD (added advantage). 4. Qualifications & ExperienceDiploma / BE in Civil Engineering (or equivalent). Experience Required: 0 - 4 years in building construction / interior / infrastructure projects.
