Job Description

As a Senior Simulator Technician at our company, you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks that significantly impact service delivery, cost effectiveness, and training qualification renewal. You will be expected to lead a shift or team of 2-4 engineers as you demonstrate your ability to solve complex simulator and/or aircraft systems problems. **Key Responsibilities:** - Perform Preventive Maintenance (PM) tasks on simulators and associated simulator systems. - Assist in diagnosing and correcting problems on simulators and associated simulator systems. - Utilize Maintenance Management System to record and track maintenance activities. - Train junior simulator technicians and conduct performance reviews. - Conduct preflight and post-flight checks on all simulators as required. - Perform visual alignments, run and evaluate QTG results. - Assist the Engineering team with modifications, design changes, and software enhancements. - Handle future projects related to Simulator installation and RFTs. - Manage logistics and critical spare follow-up. - Manage regulatory qualifications and provide AOG support. - Oversee engineering documentation such as Logbook, PMT, QTG, Exports, Imports, etc. - Evaluate QTG and manage part requests, repair orders, calibrations, and vendor communication. - Assign scheduled preventative and major maintenance activities for the fleet. - Lead and mentor a team, setting goals, providing training, and creating a positive working environment. - Identify and address training deficiencies and assist in the day-to-day operations of maintenance activities. - Comply with CAE Quality Management System and provide customer service support promptly. - Perform housekeeping tasks to maintain the simulators and handle administrative duties as required. **Qualifications & Skills:** - Proficiency in software diagnostics and utilities on at least 1 type of simulator. - Strong troubleshooting skills and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement. - Experience running and evaluating required EASA ATG/QTG tests. - Ability to perform in-depth analysis and research for hardware modifications/upgrades. - Assist with modifications, design changes, and software enhancements. - Deliver technical training for other technicians and serve as the Technical Expert on a major simulator system. - Knowledge of MS-Office tools and suite. **Education Required:** - 3-year technical degree or equivalent related training. **Experience Required:** - 7-12 years of direct simulator experience, with at least 3 years of relative simulator experience per assigned location.
