Detailed mechanical analysis and simulations will be conducted using advanced engineering tools to evaluate the feasibility and performance of new designs. Additionally, you will develop and implement testing protocols to validate designs, ensuring they meet functional, safety, and regulatory standards. Exploring and applying cutting-edge materials, manufacturing processes, and technologies to enhance design efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability will be a key part of your role. Monitoring industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor activities will help inform and drive innovation within the company. Your role will also involve preparing and delivering technical reports, presentations, and documentation to effectively communicate design concepts, findings, and recommendations to stakeholders and leadership. Ensuring compliance with company policies, quality standards, and safety regulations throughout the design and development process is crucial. You will mentor junior engineers, providing technical leadership within the team and contributing to the creation of intellectual property, including patents and proprietary technologies. Collaboration with external partners and vendors for product and technology development will also be part of your responsibilities. To be successful in this role, you should have a Master's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field, along with a minimum of 15 years of experience in system design and development. Proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), manufacturing processes, and laboratory testing is essential. Strong skills in CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and Inventor, as well as experience in interpreting simulations, are required. Analytical and project management skills, the ability to read and interpret technical drawings, and strong communication, presentation, and collaboration skills are key to excelling in this position. Expertise in MS Excel for data analysis will be advantageous, and a quick ability to learn and understand technologies related to water treatment is desired.
