Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the Design, development, and implementation of digital signal processing algorithms for audio, communication, and multimedia systems.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to integrate DSP algorithms into embedded systems and hardware platforms.
  • Optimize DSP algorithms for performance, memory usage, and power consumption, ensuring real-time processing on embedded platforms.
  • Collaborate with hardware engineers to develop firmware and software for DSP-based systems.
  • Assist in debugging, testing, and validating DSP algorithms to ensure they meet performance requirements and standards.
  • Assist in analyzing and evaluating signal processing techniques to improve audio quality, noise cancellation, echo reduction, and other features.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining software libraries and tools for DSP applications.
  • Perform signal analysis, including Fourier Transform, filtering, and spectral analysis, using industry-standard tools.
  • Assist in working with customers and end-users to understand application-specific needs and deliver optimal DSP solutions.
  • Stay current with advancements in DSP algorithms, software tools, and hardware platforms.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's in a related field.
  • Proven experience (2+ years) working as a DSP Engineer or in a similar role.
  • knowledge of digital signal processing theory and techniques, including FIR/IIR filters, Fourier Transform, convolution, sampling, and quantization.
  • Experience in implementing DSP algorithms in C/C++ for embedded systems.
  • Familiarity with DSP hardware platforms (e.g., Texas Instruments, Analog Devices, or Qualcomm).
  • Added advantage if Proficient in using DSP development tools, simulators, and software like MATLAB, Simulink, or Python for algorithm development and testing.
  • Understanding of audio codecs, signal compression, and audio algorithms (e.g., AAC, MP3, Dolby, DTS).
  • Good problem-solving and analytical skills.

Added advantages if the following are known:

  • Experience with audio or speech processing algorithms (e.g., noise suppression, beamforming, acoustic echo cancellation).
  • Experience in implementing low-latency signal processing for real-time audio systems.
  • Familiarity with Linux and embedded software development environments.
  • Experience with software tools such as Code Composer Studio or similar DSP development environments.
