Ltd. Domain: Tactical ISR | Electronic Warfare | RF Intelligence E xperience: 410 Years (or PhD with demonstrated outcomes) Mission Context 7 Darter Info Services is developing a next-gen tactical Electronic Warfare (EW) platform capable of passive RF detection, protocol decryption, emitter geolocation (ToA, AoA, DoA), and RF fingerprinting to support counter-UAS, SIGINT, and battlefield intelligence . We are seeking an elite Signal Processing Engineer to lead this signal-chain transformation—from raw IQ to real-time threat decisions. Your Mission As the Signal Processing Lead , you will reverse engineer unknown RF protocols, extract emitter characteristics, and architect DSP chains capable of identifying and localizing signals-of-interest in contested, congested, and denied RF environments . Your work will fuel EW payloads on mobile, static, and drone-based platforms. Core Responsibilities Reverse Engineer RF Protocols (e.g., telemetry, C2, FSK/QPSK bursts) via IQ analysis using SDR platforms. Implement signal models to estimate: Time of Arrival (ToA) Angle of Arrival (AoA) via phase-difference or MUSIC/ESPRIT algorithms Direction of Arrival (DoA) using multi-antenna spatial processing Build and deploy robust pipelines for: RF fingerprinting (RFFI) and emitter ID Modulation classification using ML/DSP hybrids Frequency hopping and spread-spectrum detection Develop adaptive filters , beamformers , and matched filters for hostile environment operation. Work closely with FPGA and embedded engineers to move prototypes into real-time execution on constrained compute. Simulate scenarios using MATLAB, Simulink, or Python ; transition to C/C++ or VHDL where necessary. You’re Right For This If You Have: Proven experience in SDR-based signal intelligence , waveform decoding, and EW-related DSP.
