SIAM Configuration Management Manager (CMDB)

1. SIAM Configuration Management

• Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of Configuration Management (ITIL CMDB and CI processes) across multiple service providers under the SIAM model.
• Establish and enforce configuration policies, standards, and procedures, ensuring alignment with organizational and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure completeness, accuracy, and currency of the CMDB in ServiceNow, defining and validating critical CI attributes and relationships.
• Oversee the integration between the CMDB and other SIAM processes (Change, Incident, Problem, Release, Request, etc.).
• Facilitate reconciliation and data quality initiatives, conducting periodic audits and leading corrective actions.

2. IT Asset Management (ITAM)

• Oversee the lifecycle management of hardware and software assets, from acquisition to retirement, using ServiceNow ITAM modules.
• Ensure compliance with licensing agreements, including software discovery, entitlement tracking, true-ups, and audit responses.
• Develop and monitor asset management KPIs, reporting on asset utilization, inventory accuracy, and cost optimization opportunities.
• Drive process improvements for procurement, deployment, maintenance, and disposal phases.
• Enforce asset tagging, ownership, and linkage between asset and configuration data to enable end-to-end visibility.

3. ServiceNow Expertise

• Serve as the functional owner and subject matter expert for ServiceNow CMDB and ITAM modules.
• Collaborate with ServiceNow technical teams to enhance capabilities, including automation, integrations, and reporting.
• Lead or participate in ServiceNow upgrades, new module rollouts, and user training for configuration and asset processes.

4. Stakeholder Engagement & SIAM Coordination

• Interface with internal IT, business users, and external service providers to ensure adherence to configuration and asset policies.
• Champion the value of data accuracy and process rigor across the SIAM ecosystem.
• Support audits, risk assessments, and compliance reporting related to ITIL, ISO, and regulatory standards.

Required Skills and Experience

• Experience:

  7+ years IT management, with 5+ years in configuration/asset management and SIAM environments.

• ServiceNow:

  In-depth experience with ServiceNow CMDB, ITAM modules, integrations, and administration.

• ITAM:

  Deep understanding of hardware and software IT asset management best practices and tools.

• Frameworks:

  Familiarity with ITIL v3/v4, ISO 19770, ISO 20000, and software licensing practices.

• Leadership:

  Strong stakeholder management, communication, and process improvement skills.

• Analytical:

  Proficiency in data quality management, reporting, and root cause analysis.
