Shopify Migration Developer

We’re looking for a skilled Shopify professional who loves solving complex problems and making things run smoothly. In this role, you’ll take charge of end-to-end migrations from BigCommerce to Shopify Plus, making sure every product, customer, order, and storefront detail is moved over seamlessly with zero downtime, data loss, or SEO impact.

What You’ll Do

• Lead the full migration process from BigCommerce to Shopify Plus
• Export, clean, and transform product, customer, and order data (including variants, options, and metafields/metaobjects)
• Import data into Shopify using Matrixify/API and run delta imports before cutover
• Configure Shopify Plus settings for payments, shipping, taxes, currencies, and Markets
• Recreate the existing storefront experience (PDP, homepage, cart, checkout) to match the original look and feel
• Install and configure apps to replicate BigCommerce functionality
• Build and implement 301 redirect maps, validate key landing pages, and maintain SEO integrity
• Set up GA4 and other tracking pixels to ensure accurate analytics and reporting

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years of experience in Shopify development, with Shopify Plus experience preferred
• Proven experience in migrating stores from BigCommerce or other platforms to Shopify
• Confident in handling data using CSVs, Matrixify, and APIs
• Strong skills in Shopify theme development, including Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Good understanding of SEO fundamentals, including redirects and URL structures
• Comfortable troubleshooting app integrations and checkout processes
• Familiar with tools like Shopify Plus, BigCommerce, Matrixify, and GitHub
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
• Detail-oriented, resourceful, and solutions-focused

Job Type: Contractual / Temporary

Pay: ₹360,000.00 - ₹600,000.00 per year
