Shopify Developer (Full-Stack, Backend-Focused) – 3-Month Contract

About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Shopify Developer with strong full-stack expertise to join our growing eCommerce technology team in Salt Lake, Sector 5 (Kolkata).

This is a programming-heavy role — ideal for someone who loves solving complex backend problems while also creating polished, high-performance front-end experiences.

You’ll be working on next-generation Shopify stores, automation scripts, and custom integrations that power large-scale global eCommerce operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and customize Shopify themes, templates, and dynamic sections using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Build, optimize, and maintain custom Shopify apps, API integrations, and automation scripts using Node.js, Python, or GraphQL.
• Handle product feed management, inventory sync, and integration with ERP, CRM, and marketing platforms.
• Work closely with design and marketing teams to deliver visually appealing, conversion-focused storefronts.
• Implement site performance enhancements, troubleshooting, and version control via Git.
• Support ongoing optimization and feature rollouts across multiple Shopify stores.

Requirements

• 2+ years of professional experience in Shopify development.
• Strong knowledge of Shopify APIs, Liquid, JavaScript, Node.js, and REST/GraphQL APIs.
• Experience integrating third-party apps and systems (ERP, CRM, marketplaces, automation tools).
• Understanding of Shopify Plus, headless commerce, or Hydrogen/React frameworks is a plus.
• Solid debugging, testing, and documentation skills.
• Must be able to work in a hybrid setup — remote work combined with occasional in-office collaboration at Salt Lake Sector 5.
