Shift Leader - Process

Description:

Key Responsibilities:

Shift Operations Management:

Supervise and coordinate all production activities during the shift.
Ensure adherence to production schedules and targets.
Monitor process parameters and take corrective actions as needed.

Safety & Compliance:

Enforce safety protocols and all system compliance.
Ensure compliance with statutory and environmental regulations.

Team Supervision:

Lead and manage shift operators, technicians, and contract workers.
Allocate manpower and resources efficiently.
Provide on-the-job training and guidance.

Quality Control:

Ensure product quality meets specifications.
Coordinate with QA/QC for in-process and final product testing.
Address deviations and implement corrective actions.

Documentation & Reporting:

Maintain shift logs, production reports, and incident records.
Handover reports to the next shift and attend shift meetings.
Record downtime, raw material consumption, and yield.

Maintenance Coordination:

Report equipment issues and coordinate with maintenance teams.
Support preventive and breakdown maintenance activities.

Emergency Handling:

Act as the first responder during emergencies.
Follow emergency response protocols and escalate as needed.

Qualifications & Experience:

Education: B.E. / B.Tech in Chemical Engineering or related field.
Experience: 4 - 6 years in chemical/process manufacturing
Skills: Process knowledge, leadership, communication, problem-solving, SAP/ERP familiarity.
