Job Title - Shift Incharge (Production)

Lead and manage Shift operations through DCS/ Manual Operation as per SOPs to ensure process / equipments gives rated performance for operations efficiency.

Duties & Responsibilities

Shift Operations Management

• Operate DCS control console to coordinate and regulate process variables and utility streams according to prescribed SOPs / schedules.
• Coordinate the shift reliever and consult the NORMS and CPP.
• Operate & maintain Alarm Panel, PLC, ESD / F&G, CCTV control console to coordinate and emergency scenarios like hydrocarbon leak, fire etc.
• Implement Pilot trial plan, process parameters optimization, modifications / reshuffling of equipment’s with documentation of DQ/IQ/OQ/PQ, Process Validation & Technology implementation.
• Understand & follow Safe operating procedures (SOPs), processing schedules, operating logs, and technology recommendations for plant and field operations.
• Record & Implementation of Management of Change as per the set guidelines and document control.
• Implement, manage & document control system including Shift reports.
• Responsible for preparation such as plant isolation etc., for day-to-day maintenance work. Co-ordinate maintenance activity to ensure preventative maintenance prioritization.
• Responsible for maintaining the Plant Operational Registers like Logbook, LOTO, Job Order, Permit to Work, shift change over, valve status registers etc.
• Responsible for alarm management of DCS, PLC and ESD Systems.

Health, Safety & Environmental Management

• Supporting Site activities as delegated by the Plant Operations Manager including Emergency Response, Shift responsibilities.
• Participate and provide inputs in PSSR (Pre-Startup Safety Review), HAZOP, HIRA. Review potential hazards and mitigate control measures to prevent any accidents or incidents of the plant
• Follow Process Safety guidelines in experimental installations of equipment’s.
• Waste Management – Record and maintain all the effluents and solid waste are treated and disposed safely.

• Self-identify training needs and key improvement areas. Attend regular trainings to improve self.
• Promote Values and strengthen culture to align them with the vision and mission of the organization.

Qualifications & Skills required:

• Graduate in Chemical Engineering with 7 -12 Yrs experience in PLC / DCS / Manual operated Chemical plant operations.
• Excellent knowledge and understanding of equipment / plant operation and maintenance, Report writing and presentation skills and timely reporting.
• Able to understand the PFD, P&ID’s, MSDS, Equipment GA Drawings, F&G Alarm, fire suppression systems.
• Proactive, Excellent Communication Skills.
