Shift Incharge MHS

Purpose/Objective

Area In Charge - MHS (Material Handling Systems) & CHE (Cargo Handling Equipment) (Electrical) is responsible for overseeing the electrical systems and operations of material handling systems and cargo handling equipment within the port. This role ensures all electrical equipment operates efficiently, is properly maintained, and complies with safety standards to support smooth port operations.

Key Responsibilities of Role

MHS & CHE (Electrical) Maintenance & Repairs: Develop and implement preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance schedules for electrical systems in MHS, CHE & diagnose and resolve electrical faults, minimizing downtime and disruptions. Budget Management: Develop and manage budgets for electrical maintenance, system upgrades & control and monitor costs related to electrical equipment repairs, replacements, and energy consumption. Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve electrical malfunctions in MHS and CHE to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance. Safety & Compliance: Ensure compliance with local electrical safety standards, port regulations, environmental policies & conduct routine safety checks and audits to minimize electrical hazards in the workplace. Equipment Monitoring & Performance Analysis: Monitor the performance of electrical equipment and systems to identify inefficiencies or performance issues & implement corrective measures and optimize the performance of electrical systems in MHS and CHE. Vendor Management: Oversee vendor relationships for procurement of electrical parts, equipment, and services. Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels of critical spare parts, electrical consumables & ensure timely procurement and availability of essential materials to avoid delays. Reporting & Documentation: Maintain detailed records of all maintenance, repairs, and performance evaluations for MHS, CHE electrical systems & provide regular reports to senior management on system performance, maintenance activities, and any operational challenges. Energy Management: Implement energy-saving initiatives and monitor electricity usage across MHS, CHE & propose and manage energy-efficient upgrades to improve the overall efficiency of electrical systems. Maintenance Planning: Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all electrical equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime. Brand Positioning: Uphold Adani's brand values in all interactions and build strong relationships to fortify brand trust and loyalty. Qualifications and Experience

Educational Qualification: Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related field. Work Experience: Minimum 7-10 years of experience in electrical maintenance or operations, particularly in material handling and cargo handling equipment within industrial, port, or logistics settings
