Role & responsibilities

Safety o Zero LTC o Accept work permits (from operations side) with 100% compliance for all engineering or non-routine tasks as per RIL standard with proper job safety risk assessment attached to permit o Special Focus on Line Break, Hot Work, Confined Space related jobs o Zero Tolerance for Unsafe Behaviour o Demonstrate & Lead strict adherence of Safety Standards & Safety Compliance on shop floor o Ensure operations as per RIL Health, Safety, Environment, & Fire standards o Take periodic Gemba rounds, and control Unsafe Acts & Unsafe Conditions on shop floor o Lead Audits, Visits, & Documentation • Production o Lead Start Up of Section with a focus on Zero Safety Incidents, Zero Quality Incidents, zero incidents of grower stoppage (due to lack of availability of quality polysilicon) o Develop a process / system-based culture in managing operations o Ensure output as per production plan o Achieve best inventory accuracy for the section (Physical stock Vs System stock) o Ensure 100% posting of Batches & 100% consumption of material through MES & ERP systems o Ensure 5s on shop floor o Release periodic production related reports as per RIL governance systems o Participate in periodic plant review meetings o Lead & Achieve Benchmark OEE o Lead Audits & Visits o Lead Documentation o Handover of shift charge to reliever as per HOTO (Handover Takeover) guidelines of RIL. Plan & Ensure 100% Availability of Raw Material, Packing Material & Consumables for upcoming shift • Quality o All Operations /tasks as per documented & approved procedures o Ensure Input & Output is as per approved quality specs o Eliminate all sources of contamination by best shop floor discipline & best engineering or administrative controls as and where applicable o Ensure operations are performed as per Standard Operating Conditions (With in Aim +/- Control Limits) o Provide engineering solutions through data analysis to support quality assurance, customer complaint evaluations, process managements, and problem troubleshooting • Cost o Eliminate Losses & Improve Yield of all equipment of set up by demonstrating their design capabilities • Team / Manpower o Develop down the line team in the fundamental understanding of engineering knowledge of equipment of your section o Handhold & Coach the manpower on operational nuances of section
