Shift Engineer - Control Room Production (Pellet Plant)

Key Result Areas

Achieve shift production targets by coordinating with field operations.

Monitor and control process parameters (dry/wet grinding, dedusting, conveyors) via DCS.

Ensure safe, quality, and cost-effective grinding operations.

Manage high-rate thickeners and coordinate with internal logistics.

Manage production data entry and centralized communication.

Key Responsibilities

A.PRODUCTION

  • Assist Shift In-charge and CCR In charge to meet the ABP targets, production volumes, physical and chemical quality requirements of grinding.
  
  
  • Having knowledge of DCS based CCR operations, Aware about dry and wet grinding circuits
  
  
  • Responsible for data evaluation through DCS trends and interpret deviation analysis
  
  
  • Breakdown, shutdown planning and management.
  
  
  • Overall, all production cost drivers and daily production data entry

  Process Management

  • Assist Shift In charge in all his activities related to the smooth plant operations.
  
  
  • Assist Shift In charge in all his activities related to the smooth plant operations.
  
  
  • Responsible for maintaining all the process parameters of Dry and wet grinding
  
  
  • Should be able to monitor and analyze deviations and report preparations
  
  
  • Follow SOP and systematic operations involving interaction with inter and intra department, co-ordination, shutdown planning and breakdown management
  
  
  
  





• C. Safety and Environmental Management

• Adopt, establish, and promote safety culture with organizational standards and guidelines across working area.


• Following safety mandates like work permit system, TBTs, SOPs and other safe working procedures like shop floor interactions


• Should monitor and control fugitive emissions and ensure environmental noncompliance through effective management of dedusting system

D. Training & Development

• Identifying Training needs of self and preparing action plan for personal growth with help of superior


• Participating Online and other venues of training and development


• Comply 100% safety TNI

Relevant Experience:

Minimum 2 years relevant experience as Shift Engineer in Iron ore Grinding Process.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• B.E. / B.Tech. In Mechanical / Metallurgical Engineering


• Steel Metallurgy


• Pelletisation, wet and dry grinding, DCS operations


• Interpersonal Skills


• Planning & Coordination Skills


• Behavioral Based Safety
