Job Description

As a Target Costing & Negotiation professional specializing in Sheet Metal Components, your role involves: - Costing, quote analysis, and developing negotiation strategies with suppliers. - Conducting Teardown & functional analysis, cost estimation, and part level benchmarking. - Generating innovative Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VA/VE) cost proposals. - Having a techno-commercial knowledge of Sheet metal components and different Automotive Sheet Metal Raw material grades. - Understanding Automotive Stamping/Welding/Assembly/Coating processes and Robot welding technology. - Possessing knowledge of Plate Base & casting base tooling for Sheet Metal parts. - Familiarity with Automotive Spec parts and different types of Fixtures for Automotive Sheet Metal parts welding. - Being a self-initiator, team player, and passionate about analysis and design intent. - Proficiency in generating cost/weight reduction & new technology ideas. Qualifications required for this role: - B.E/B.Tech in Mechanical/Automobile Engineering. - 4-6 years of experience in Development/Purchase & Costing Background with knowledge of Sheet Metal Components, Plate base, and Casting base tooling. - Sound Knowledge of Automotive Systems (an added advantage). Competencies: Functional: - Knowledge of manufacturing processes and Cycle times in the mentioned commodities. - Problem-solving skills and exposure to UG-NX. - Ability to analyze drawings of Automotive Sheet Metal components. - Understanding of Broad level Business Processes. Managerial: - Planning and scheduling activities in advance. - Effective communication with Peers/Vendors/Machine Makers. - Positive attitude towards new initiatives. - Good Communication & Interpersonal Skills.,
