ServiceNow Technical Developer (GRC, ITSM, Integration, Automation)

We are seeking a highly skilled ServiceNow Developer (4 to 9 years experience) specializing in GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance), ITSM, platform Integration, and Automation. This role is hands-on, focused on designing, developing, and enhancing custom solutions and integrations across core ServiceNow modules, with emphasis on automation and complex scripting.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, configure, and customize ServiceNow core modules including ITSM (Incident, Problem, Change, Request, Knowledge, CMDB) and GRC/IRM.
• Architect and implement integrations between ServiceNow and external/internal systems via REST/SOAP APIs, IntegrationHub, MID Server, and other integration methods.
• Build and optimize automated workflows, leveraging scripting (JavaScript, Glide API, Jelly, Flow Designer), business rules, UI actions, client/server scripting, and platform automation tools.
• Translate business and security/compliance requirements into robust technical solutions, ensuring ITIL alignment for ITSM processes.
• Develop and maintain automation frameworks and automated test suites (ATF),introducing innovation and efficiency into the development pipeline.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize ServiceNow applications and integrations; provide deep technical support and problem resolution.
• Ensure GRC/IRM use cases are implemented for risk management, policy compliance, audits, and vendor risk management.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, perform release management, and drive best practices across the development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (architects, business analysts, testers, DevOps).

Required Skills and Experience

• 4-9 years of ServiceNow development experience, including demonstrable expertise in ITSM (mandatory), GRC/IRM (mandatory), automation, workflow configuration, and integration.
• Deep hands-on scripting: JavaScript, Glide, Jelly, XML, Shell scripting.
• Mastery of ServiceNow APIs (REST/SOAP, IntegrationHub, MID Server), OAuth2.0, SSO, Web Services.
• Strong understanding of ITIL/ITSM, automation frameworks, and enterprise integration patterns.
• Experience with ATF, Performance Analytics, DevOps integrations, and platform security best practices.
• Exposure to modules like IRM, Vendor Risk, Vulnerability Response, and Policy Management.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to translate requirements into scalable, production-grade solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified System Administrator (CSA), Certified Application Developer (CAD), Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS-ITSM / GRC / IRM).
• ITIL v3/v4 Foundation or higher.
• Experience with scripting outside ServiceNow (NodeJS, Java, SQL).
