Service Supervisor

Job Description:

The Service Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the automobile service department or workshop. This role ensures that repair and maintenance work is completed efficiently, customers receive high-quality service, and technicians follow company and manufacturer standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of service technicians and workshop staff.
• Plan, allocate, and monitor daily repair and maintenance jobs.
• Ensure all vehicles are serviced and repaired as per standard operating procedures and within specified timelines.
• Conduct quality checks on completed jobs to ensure accuracy and customer satisfaction.
• Support service advisors in estimating repair costs and explaining technical issues to customers.
• Maintain proper documentation of service records, job cards, and warranty claims.
• Monitor productivity, efficiency, and performance of the service team.
• Ensure availability of required tools, equipment, and spare parts.
• Implement safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workshop environment.
• Coordinate with the parts department for timely availability of components.
• Train and mentor service technicians to improve technical and customer service skills.
• Handle escalated customer complaints and ensure prompt resolution.
• Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports on service performance and workshop activities.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Diploma or Degree in Automobile / Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 1-3 years of experience in an automobile workshop or service center.
• Strong technical knowledge of vehicles and diagnostic tools.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
• Customer-focused attitude with problem-solving ability.
• Ability to handle pressure and ensure timely job delivery.
