Job Title: Service Advisor

Job Summary:

The Service Advisor is the primary point of contact for customers visiting the service center. This role is responsible for understanding vehicle issues, preparing repair orders, coordinating with technicians, ensuring timely service delivery, and maintaining high customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities: Customer Interaction & Job Intake

  • Greet customers and understand their service requirements.
  • Conduct vehicle walk-around inspection and document customer concerns.
  • Prepare accurate job cards/repair orders.
  • Explain recommended services, estimated costs, and timelines to customers.

Coordination & Job Execution

  • Communicate job requirements to the workshop team.
  • Follow up on parts availability and job progress.
  • Coordinate with technicians for accurate diagnosis and repair.
  • Monitor job completion and ensure timely delivery.

Quality & Customer Satisfaction

  • Verify vehicle condition after service through a final quality check.
  • Provide updates to customers on vehicle status.
  • Explain completed work, billing details, and warranty coverage.
  • Handle customer complaints and ensure high CSI scores.

Documentation & Compliance

  • Maintain complete service records and documentation.
  • Promote value-added services, AMC, and service packages.
  • Ensure adherence to dealership and OEM service standards.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Graduate / Diploma in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
  • 1–3 years of experience as a Service Advisor in the automobile industry.
  • Strong technical knowledge of vehicles and service operations.
  • Excellent communication & customer-handling skills.
  • Proficiency in DMS, CRM, and basic computer operations.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure.
