Key Responsibilities: Customer Interaction: Greeting customers, actively listening to their concerns about their vehicles, and gathering necessary information. Diagnosis and Recommendations: Working with technicians to understand the nature of the vehicle's problem, explaining the recommended repairs to the customer, and providing options. Estimates and Scheduling: Generating accurate cost estimates for parts and labor, scheduling service appointments, and communicating timelines to customers. Order Management: Creating repair orders, submitting them to the service department, and potentially ordering necessary parts. Communication and Explanation: Clearly explaining the nature of the repairs, the associated costs, and any warranty information to the customer. Customer Satisfaction: Ensuring that customers are satisfied with the service provided, addressing any concerns or complaints, and maintaining positive relationships. Upselling (in some cases): Identifying opportunities to recommend additional services or products that may benefit the customer and their vehicle, contributing to the shop's revenue. Administrative Tasks: Maintaining accurate records of customer interactions, repair orders, and other relevant documentation.
