Job Title: Server Support Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Server Engineer to design, implement, manage, and support our server infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with physical and virtual servers along with enterprise operating systems, ensuring system stability, performance, and security across platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and maintain physical and virtual servers (Windows environment).
  • Monitor server performance and proactively troubleshoot issues to ensure maximum uptime.
  • Manage patching, updates, and system hardening for compliance and security.
  • Work with storage, backup, and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Collaborate with network and application teams to ensure seamless business operations.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of server infrastructure, configurations, and procedures.
  • Automate routine administrative tasks using scripts or system tools.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and provide 2nd/3rd level escalation support.
  • Plan and execute system upgrades and server migrations with minimal downtime.

Requirements

  • 4–6 years of proven experience as a Server/System Engineer or similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in managing Windows Server 2016/2019 environments.
  • Experience with virtualization platforms (e.g., Hyper-V, VMware).
  • Hands-on with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, firewalls, load balancers).
  • Experience with system monitoring tools.
  • Knowledge of remote access solutions (e.g., RAS Server).
