This is not a full-time role but will involve periodic involvement based on project requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with enterprise backup solutions and excellent troubleshooting capabilities. Key Responsibilities Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain IBM TSM, Veritas NetBackup, and IBM Flash Storage systems. Create and manage backup policies for: File systems Databases (SQL, Oracle) Virtualized environments (VMware, etc.) Monitor daily backup operations, troubleshoot failures, and perform root cause analysis to ensure minimal downtime. Design, implement, and periodically test disaster recovery and business continuity plans. Ensure reliable and consistent data protection strategies across multi-platform environments (Windows, Linux, UNIX). Maintain documentation for backup configurations, procedures, and recovery plans. Perform health checks and implement preventive maintenance to reduce risk of backup failures. Collaborate with cross-functional teams as needed for escalations or planning. Required Skills & Qualifications Proven experience with IBM TSM, Veritas NetBackup, and enterprise-level storage solutions. Strong understanding of backup/restore methodologies including incremental, full, and image backups. Expertise in troubleshooting backup failures and system performance issues. Familiarity with scripting (Shell, PowerShell, or others) for automation of backup tasks. Good communication and documentation skills.
