SEO Intern

Role Overview:

The SEO Intern will support Wattlecorp’s marketing team in improving search visibility, optimizing website performance, and contributing to content development across our cybersecurity offerings. This role is ideal for someone who wants hands-on experience in SEO, content optimization, and basic web design within WordPress and Elementor.

Key Responsibilities

Content Drafting and Optimization

• Draft blog posts and landing pages aligned with cybersecurity topics and service offerings.

• Coordinate with writers and the marketing team to refine content for SEO and readability.

• Assist in maintaining the content calendar and ensuring timely publication.

Website & CMS Support

• Work with WordPress to update and manage website content.

• Use Elementor to build or edit basic page layouts and templates.

• Help improve page structure, internal linking, and user experience.

Keyword Research & On-Page SEO

• Conduct keyword research using tools like Semrush, Ahrefs, or Google Keyword Planner.

• Optimize on-page elements such as titles, meta descriptions, headers, and content structure.

• Support the creation of SEO briefs for new content pieces.

Technical SEO Assistance

• Monitor site performance and SEO metrics through Google Search Console and Google Analytics.

• Identify technical issues such as crawl errors, indexing gaps, site speed issues, and broken links.

• Assist in implementing technical fixes under team guidance.

SEO Analytics & Reporting

• Track keyword ranking improvements and content performance.

• Prepare weekly and monthly SEO reports to highlight trends and opportunities.

• Analyze user behavior to support data-driven optimization decisions.

Creative & Web Design Contribution

• Provide ideas for improving page layouts and user experience through Elementor.

• Support the creation of visually appealing and SEO-friendly web templates.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of SEO principles and keyword research.

• Familiarity with WordPress and a willingness to learn Elementor.

• Strong writing and editing skills.

• Interest in cybersecurity and B2B marketing.

• Ability to analyze data and identify insights.

• Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive.

• Comfortable working independently and within team workflows.
