Senior Windows System Administrator L2/L3

Job Summary

As a Windows System Administrator (L2), you will be a core member of our Managed Service Provider (MSP) team. This role is a key part of our Service Desk, and you will work closely with our IT team to provide direct support to end-users via calls, chat, and email. You'll proactively diagnose and resolve complex hardware, software, and end-user problems, ensuring exceptional service across multiple client environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Service Desk & User Support: Serve as a primary point of contact for technical issues. You will provide advanced support to end-users, resolving hardware and software problems across multiple client environments. This also includes assisting in the setup and configuration of new user accounts and devices.
• System & Server Management: Install, configure, and maintain Windows operating systems and applications. This includes managing servers such as Windows Server 2022 and the upcoming Windows Server 2025, along with essential services like Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP. You will also perform regular system updates and upgrades to ensure high performance and availability.
• Virtualization & Cloud Services: Configure and maintain industry-standard virtualization platforms like VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V. You will also be responsible for Microsoft 365 administration, including user and license management, configuring Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and Teams, and implementing security policies.
• Remote Monitoring & Management (RMM): Proactively manage and resolve client issues using common RMM tools such as ConnectWise Automate, NinjaOne, or Kaseya VSA.
• Network & Security: Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues. A key part of your role involves implementing security measures to protect client systems and data, and you'll monitor for security breaches and respond to incidents promptly.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps. You will also generate reports on system performance, security incidents, and user support activities.

Requirements

• Experience & Education: A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience) is required. You must have proven experience as a Windows System Administrator or in a similar Service Desk role.
• Technical Skills:
• Strong knowledge of current Windows Server operating systems, including Windows Server 2022 and Windows Server 2025.
• Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and other Windows server roles.
• Proficiency with virtualization technologies like VMware vSphere or Microsoft Hyper-V.
• Familiarity with leading RMM tools (e.g., ConnectWise, NinjaOne, Kaseya).
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 administration, including user and license management, Exchange Online, and security policies.
• Solid understanding of network protocols and services (TCP/IP, VPN, VLANs, etc.).
• Experience with security tools and practices, such as firewalls, antivirus software, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
• Interpersonal Skills: Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills are a must, along with strong English communication and interpersonal abilities for effective Service Desk interaction.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹90,000.00 per month
