As a Sr. Technician, Prototyping at KOKO, you'll be the hands-on expert responsible for bringing our consumer hardware designs to life. You'll work closely with the design and engineering teams, translating their 3D models and drawings into functional prototypes. Your role is central to the product development process, covering everything from assembling components and maintaining workshop machinery to performing quality checks and logging test observations. Your practical skills and "can-do" attitude will be critical in tackling challenging and demanding prototyping requirements to help us create a robust and reliable final product.

As a Sr. Technician, Prototyping, you will be responsible for building mock-ups and prototypes for KOKO’s consumer-facing products.

Your work begins upon receiving 3D models or drawings from the design engineers, or when you receive components from suppliers.

You will assemble prototypes using 3D-printed, CNC-machined, and/or soft-tooled components according to the specifications provided by design engineers.

You will maintain the in-house 3D printing machinery and the metal fabrication and machining workshop.

Perform basic quality checks and inspections to ensure prototypes match their designs.

Participate in review meetings with design engineers to develop prototyping strategies for various projects and products.

Interact with design engineers and suppliers for prototyping coordination.

Coordinate with the sourcing team to ensure the quality and timely delivery of prototype components.

Perform basic tests on assembled products according to test plans developed by design and quality engineers.

Log test observations and assist in creating test reports.

ITI-Fitter / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / Diploma in Tool & Die Making.

5+ years of hands-on experience in building prototypes for a similar industry.

Experience working with 3D-printed parts and various other rapid prototyping techniques.

Strong understanding of reading 2D manufacturing drawings with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).

Practical knowledge of using measuring instruments such as height gauges, bore gauges, and calipers.

Strong problem-solving capabilities and a "can-do" attitude.

The ability to work with very challenging and demanding requirements for building and troubleshooting prototypes.

Operating knowledge of basic workshop machinery such as lathes, milling, and drilling machines.

Good verbal and written English communication skills

Knowledge of basic computer programs like Excel, PowerPoint, and email.
