Job Description

Role Overview: As a Senior Technical Lead/Technical Lead at the company, your primary role as a Project Leader is to oversee the lifecycle of orders, ensuring smooth handling of technical opportunities and orders to provide an excellent experience to customers. You will collaborate with the sales and operations team, understanding client requirements and translating them into actionable plans for the organization. This role encompasses various offerings including engines like Niigata, EMD, MAN, Wartsila, Yanmar, thruster and propulsion systems, OQMS, and ECMS projects. Key Responsibilities: - Provide technical solutions and support for projects to meet business revenue targets, ensuring zero rework, zero delays, and high customer satisfaction. - Collaborate with customers during the enquiry stage to understand their needs, document project requirements, technical specifications, parts lists, work scope, resource requirements, and risk analysis to minimize errors during the project. - Propose solution architecture, bill of material, draw work scope, and interpret panel drawings for smooth installation and commissioning of systems on site while optimizing parts lists. - Engage with multiple stakeholders in the customer's organization to move enquiries towards orders through customer visits, calls, and presentations. - Handover orders to the operations team effectively for execution, maintaining high accuracy of documentation and information. - Support on-site team members with technical assistance during execution and attend sites if required to support sales and execution teams. - Drive continual improvement in delivery processes to reduce time per site compared to the standard bar chart. - Identify areas of improvement post-job completion, incorporate feedback into standard processes, and coordinate with customers for recommendations. - Enhance team capabilities through technology adoption, training, and circulation of service newsletters to customers. - Maintain and update standard documents such as bar charts, parts lists, checklists, and work scopes to enhance efficiency and capacity for new job types. - Monitor remote dashboards, manage IoT data, create monthly analysis reports, and train customers on ECMS systems. Qualification Required: - Strong knowledge of internal combustion engines, with 3-4+ years of hands-on experience on medium and high-speed diesel engines. - Proficiency in working with computers, Excel, CRM, SAP, and managing documentation. - Basic understanding of automation, electrical, and control systems influencing engine operation. - Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written, for clear information dissemination and documentation based on customer requirements. - Attention to detail for effective information management, list comparison, manual interpretation, and document creation. - Mindset for problem-solving, delivering outcomes, continual improvement, excellence, and interest in emerging technologies and engineering trends.
