Role Overview:

The Senior Structural Engineer will lead the detailed engineering design of assigned structural work areas, ensuring all deliverables meet project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. The role involves managing multiple projects, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and maintaining high technical and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute engineering activities including concept development, FEED, technical studies, and detailed design.
• Prepare and review design deliverables such as construction drawings, structural analyses, and technical reports.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client specifications.
• Monitor progress and ensure timely completion of engineering documents.
• Identify and manage scope and schedule changes using change management procedures.
• Determine manpower requirements and support resource planning.
• Review and approve specifications, technical evaluations, and vendor documentation.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines, clients, and vendors.
• Attend project review and 3D model review meetings.
• Control the quality of engineering documents in line with QA standards.
• Review material take-offs (MTOs) and provide inputs for bids and proposals.
• Ensure structural integrity and safety of assigned work areas.
• Document all project-related changes and modifications.

Qualifications:

• Education:

  BSc or BTech in Civil or Structural Engineering (MSc or MTech is an advantage).

• Experience:

  6–9 years in offshore oil & gas facilities or drilling rigs, preferably with EPC contractors or construction yards.

• Software Proficiency:

  StaadPro, SACS, ANSYS, MathCAD.

• Knowledge of Standards:

  ASME, AISC, API, ASTM, BS/EN, ABS, DNV, BV, CAP 437.
