Job Description

As a Sourcing/Category Manager at Medtronic, you'll have the opportunity to embark on a fulfilling career marked by exploration and innovation. Your role will be crucial in championing healthcare access and equity, ultimately contributing to a more connected and compassionate world. **Key Responsibilities:** - Create value across the entire portfolio exceeding $500M - Build strategic relationships independently with internal stakeholders and suppliers - Lead reporting & data analytics for supplier management & spend program governance - Implement sourcing strategies for sustainable competitive advantage - Assist in supplier relationship management for strategic IT services categories - Drive year-on-year value improvements in service, innovation, and cost - Manage complete RFx events and strategic contract negotiations for large-scale engagements with IT partners - Provide stakeholders with a balanced view of contract risk and liabilities, advocating for their interests - Gather market intelligence, identify business problems, and recommend solutions for improvement - Educate stakeholders on key indirect supply management initiatives and policies - Foster a culture of continuous improvement **Qualifications Required:** - Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of sourcing/category management experience - Demonstrated growth mindset, passion, curiosity, and grit - Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels - Strong oral and written communication skills - Proficiency in analytical thinking and deriving insights from data - Highly skilled in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint **Nice to Have:** - Indirect sourcing experience preferred - Experience in reviewing and drafting legal agreements At Medtronic, you'll work alongside experienced and motivated colleagues who are collaborative, creative, and fun-loving.
