Senior Software Engineer - Shopify

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and customize Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Build responsive, engaging storefronts with a focus on user experience and accessibility.
• Integrate and configure Shopify apps and third-party plugins to extend platform capabilities.
• Implement Shopify Checkout Extensions, Functions, and metafield/metaobject logic to customize customer journeys.
• Utilize Shopify Admin API and GraphQL API to manage orders, products, and customers efficiently.
• Optimize websites for performance, SEO, and mobile responsiveness.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during user acceptance testing (UAT) and post-deployment.
• Maintain and upgrade existing Shopify codebases while ensuring backward compatibility.
• Participate in code reviews, document features thoroughly, and adhere to Git workflows and version control best practices.
• Stay updated with the latest Shopify releases, ecosystem trends, and best practices to continually improve our solutions.
  

Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in Shopify development.
• Strong proficiency in Liquid, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, and SCSS.
• Familiarity with Shopify Flow, custom apps, webhooks, and App Proxy concepts.
• Experience integrating Shopify with ERP, CRM, or loyalty systems.
• Solid understanding of eCommerce UX, SEO best practices, and accessibility standards.
• Proficient with Git version control and debugging tools.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
