Senior Software Engineer (Python) - India

The Senior Software Engineer will play a pivotal role in shaping the technical direction of our projects and aligning and innovating our products, offerings, and engineering technologies. This position is ideal for a hands-on leader who can enable our engineering team to succeed and responsibly deliver high-quality software solutions.

LOCATION

Remote / Hybrid - Chennai, Tamil Nadu

Finalsite is a global company and to enable strong collaboration, we have established common core working hours. Candidates should be comfortable working from 11:00-20:00 IST, with core working hours being 18:00-20:00 IST

Essential Functions

• Technical Excellence: Provide hands-on technical experience and troubleshooting in Python, Django, AWS, including code reviews, debugging and application performance tuning.
• Project Execution: Be able to represent the technology acumen, commit, and deliver the solutions on time or exceeding expectations.
• Team Influence: Drive improvements in processes and methodologies. Mentor junior team members, helping them upskill and understand the intricacies of the domain.
• Leadership: Set clear technical direction for the team’s projects, ensuring that the team understands and is motivated to achieve the desired outcomes. Handle technical conflicts or challenges effectively.

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum 7-10 years of experience in software development.
• Strong technical proficiency and debugging skills are highly desirable (must have Python, Django, RESTful APIs )
• Hands-on experience handling cloud computing (AWS, GCP)
• Familiarity with databases (MySQL and NoSQL) and ORM technologies.
• Knowledge on testing frameworks (e.g., PyTest, UnitTest) is a plus.
• Demonstrated experience as a strong individual contributor with a track record of delivering results
• An agile work ethic and ability to adjust quickly to changes
• Excellent collaboration skills with cross-functional and cross-geography teams.
