About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer (Django Developer) to join our growing engineering team. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in Django-based backend systems, REST API design, and cloud deployment using AWS. You will lead projects, design scalable architectures while working closely with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using Django and Django REST Framework.
• Architect and optimize backend systems to ensure performance, security, and reliability.
• Implement RESTful APIs and integrate with third-party services and internal systems.
• Manage AWS cloud infrastructure – EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudWatch, etc.
• Handle CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and automated deployments.
• Collaborate with product managers, frontend developers, and QA teams to deliver high-quality features on time.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following best practices and code reviews.
• Mentor and guide junior developers, contributing to team knowledge sharing and technical growth.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of professional experience in backend development using Python (Django/DRF).
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, ORM, and relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL).
• Proven experience deploying and managing applications on AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Git, and CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.).
• Solid knowledge of software design patterns, scalability, and distributed systems.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Experience working in Agile environments.

Good to Have

• Knowledge of React.js / Vue.js or other frontend frameworks.
• Familiarity with Terraform, Kubernetes, or Serverless architecture.
• Experience with Celery, Redis, or message queues.
• Understanding of security best practices (authentication, authorization, data protection).

Education

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
