Job Description

Position Summary

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented ‘Senior NOC Engineer’ to join our Network Operations Center (NOC) team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring the performance, availability, and security of networks and systems, managing incidents, and ensuring high uptime of infrastructure. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, hands-on technical knowledge, and experience working in enterprise IT environments. The position involves shift work (including nights, weekends, and public holidays) to support our 24×7×365 operations.


Responsibilities

  • Monitor network, server, and system performance and security on a 24/7 basis.
  • Respond promptly to incidents, alerts, and escalations according to defined SOPs.
  • Perform incident analysis, troubleshooting, resolution, and escalation when needed.
  • Maintain and update documentation, including incident logs, SOPs, and knowledge base.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and vendors for timely issue resolution.
  • Prioritize incidents based on severity and business impact.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and suggest long-term fixes.
  • Create and maintain accurate and detailed incident reports.
  • Assist with automation initiatives to reduce recurring issues.
  • Follow ITIL processes for incident, problem, and change management.
  • Work with tools such as ServiceNow for ticket management and reporting.
  • Provide inputs to improve monitoring coverage and operational efficiency.
  • May be required to work outside standard hours for emergencies or escalations.


Experience & Qualification

  • 3–6 years of hands-on experience in NOC, Help Desk, or IT operations in an enterprise or ISP environment.
  • Strong experience with Windows and Linux server environments (Ubuntu preferred).
  • Experience in monitoring and supporting networks, servers, and enterprise applications.
  • Familiarity with ITSM frameworks; practical experience with ServiceNow.
  • Knowledge of Datacenter technologies and Public Cloud platforms, preferably GCP.
  • Ability to analyze logs, debug issues, and troubleshoot network/system-related problems.
  • Exposure to incident management practices and reporting procedures.
  • Understanding of basic scripting or automation approaches is desirable.
  • Knowledge of cloud connectivity and service monitoring.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially under high-pressure situations.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively and work both independently and in team environments.


Preferred Experience

  • Exposure to Java/front-end/mobile technologies is a plus.
  • Experience in the digital retail domain (e.g., pharmacy, grocery) will be an added advantage.
  • Familiarity with change and problem management processes.
  • Strong analytical and time management capabilities.
  • Enthusiastic self-starter with a passion for continuous learning and operational excellence.
