Role & responsibilities

The Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and executing sales

strategies to achieve revenue and market share targets in the logistics and freight forwarding

sector.

This individual will identify new business opportunities, manage client relationships, and

lead a sales team to drive the companys growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue and profitability

goals in the logistics and freight forwarding industry.

Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research, networking, and

cold calling.

Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, suppliers, and partners to ensure

long-term business success.

Negotiate and close contracts with clients, ensuring favorable terms and conditions for

the company.

Provide leadership, guidance, and support to the sales team, setting performance targets

and conducting regular performance reviews.

Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to stay ahead of

industry developments and adjust sales strategies accordingly.

Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals, and reports to senior management.

Collaborate closely with internal departments, including operations, customer service,

and finance, to ensure smooth execution of customer orders and services.

Track and analyze sales metrics, providing regular reports on sales performance and

forecasting.

Manage and optimize the sales pipeline, ensuring timely follow-up and closure of leads

and opportunities.

Attend industry conferences, events, and trade shows to represent the company and

generate new business leads.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field

(preferred).

Minimum of 3 to 15 years of experience in sales, with at least 3 years in the logistics or

freight forwarding industry.

Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a competitive environment.

Strong understanding of logistics, supply chain management, and freight forwarding

processes.
