Position Description:

Perform high quality business research \/ market research including but not limited to online retrieval of information, company financials, and market data as well as

performing basic research functions using databases and other online sources

Work on market sizing studies, company analyses, product \/ segment profiles, SWOT analysis, Five Forces model, competitive intelligence, trend analysis, etc.

Good understanding and working knowledge of financial statements and accounting concepts

The Senior Research Analyst \/ Team Leader role also requires the candidate to work on other research projects that are open\-ended and consulting in nature

Provide support to the research manager and the team in completing projects on time and in knowledge transfer and training. Attend client calls, interact with clients
frequently and communicate feedback to the operations team

Depending on the requirements of specific projects, the selected candidate in the analyst \/ senior analyst role should be open to alternate between the roles of Research

Analyst and that of Quality In\-charge

The Senior Research Analyst \/ Team Leader role involves overseeing and performing quality checks on the work as described above, completed by junior analysts \/

research trainees. The selected candidate will also allocate work and train junior analysts in the team

Work Experience:

Ideally in market research either in other research\-focused KPOs, or in market research houses

Include working on market sizing studies, company analyses, product \/ segment profiles, competitive intelligence, trend analysis, and other business research projects

Knowledge Skills \/ Competencies: Good analytical skills, verbal and written communication skills

Essential Qualifications: Ideal educational background would be MBA \/ Bachelors or Masters Degree in Commerce \/ Economics \/ Statistics

Technical Qualifications \/ Experience: Technical know\-how in MS Office Suite (Word \/ Excel \/ PowerPoint). Exposure to any analytical \/ visualization tools such as Tableau, Power

BI, QlikView would be an added advantage

Exposure to using databases: Working knowledge of databases such as LexisNexis, Factiva, Hoovers, Avention OneSource, Capital IQ, Thomson Reuters Eikon, Bloomberg

Work Schedule: Candidate should be open to work in a three\-shift rotation model

Experience (in the market\/business research space): 1 to 2 years for Research Analyst, 2 to 4 years for Senior Research Analyst and 4 to 6 years for Team Lead Research
