Senior Quality Engineer

Role & responsibilities

Inspection & Testing

• Conduct

  in-process and final stage inspections

  as per the Quality Assurance Plan (QAP).
• Witness and document

  Hydro Tests, Vacuum Tests, and other quality tests

  .
• Perform inspections for

  outsourced items

  to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Maintain calibration of equipment in

  Assembly and Machine Shop

  departments.
• Inspect

  static and rotary equipment

  and ensure compliance with fabrication standards.

Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare

  quality dossiers

  for all projects.
• Provide inputs for the

  Weekly QA Dashboard

  and other quality reports.
• Track and monitor

  quality assurance metrics

  (defect densities, open defect counts).

Training & Support

• Train operators on

  IFAT checkpoints

  and quality requirements.
• Review

  quality specifications, technical designs, and requirements

  , providing timely feedback.

Quality Planning & Control

• Create

  detailed and structured test plans and test cases

  .
• Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate

  quality testing activities

  .
• Conduct

  supplier audits

  and collaborate with stakeholders for corrective actions.

Compliance & Safety

• Ensure strict adherence to

  Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies

  .
• Identify and immediately stop any unsafe acts or processes.
  

Continuous Improvement

• Stay updated with the latest

  testing tools and quality strategies

  .
• Actively participate in

  Kaizen and 5S activities

  for continuous improvement.

Preferred candidate profile

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in

  Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering

  (or equivalent).

• 46 years of experience

  in QA/QC within

  rotary and static equipment manufacturing or fabrication industries

  .
• Strong knowledge of

  inspection techniques, QAP, calibration, and supplier audits

  .
• Familiarity with

  ISO standards, fabrication codes, and QA documentation practices

  .
• Excellent analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
