Senior Quality Engineer – Inward Quality Control Solar PV Manufacturing

Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Quality Engineer (IQC) to join our Solar Panel Manufacturing Quality Team. The role includes overseeing raw material inspections, in-process quality checks, and final product testing to ensure compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate should have 3–4 years of experience in quality engineering within the Solar PV Module Manufacturing or Renewable Energy sector, with strong expertise in inspection procedures, testing standards, and supplier coordination

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise inward quality inspection (IQC) of raw materials, bought-out items, consumables, and components as per approved standards and drawings.
• Responsible for all raw material IQC (Inward Quality Checks).
• Verify supplier quality certificates, test reports, and compliance documents
• Develop and implement inspection plans, sampling plans, and acceptance criteria for inward material.
• Maintain proper tagging, traceability, and documentation of inspected material.
• Coordinate with suppliers, purchase, and stores to resolve non-conformances and material-related complaints.
• Take corrective actions for any material-related complaints found during production.
• Maintain and update inward inspection records, rejection reports, and MIS reports.
• Maintain records of material COC (Test Reports), IQC reports, and rejection data.
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement corrective/preventive actions.
• Ensure compliance with mechanical, electrical, and material testing standards.
• Strong knowledge of inward material inspection procedures.
• Handle and resolve issues during IPQC (In-Process Quality Checks).
• Handling IPQC & FQC (Flash Test, Post-EL, Module ID Data, etc.
• Oversee and document all FQC tests, including: Flash Test, Post-EL, HV, IR & GND, RFID data, and Module ID classification (A/B/Reject).
• Prepare Flash Test Reports with IV curves as per invoices and share with customers.
• Perform Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) and prepare related documentation.
• Ensure all inspection and testing instruments are calibrated and records are properly maintained.

Qualifications:

• Diploma / B. Tech / B.E. in Electrical / Mechanical / Production or related field
• Minimum of 3–4 years of experience in Quality Inspection preferably in solar manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of IQC and inward material inspection procedures
• Knowledge of IQC, IPQC & FQC standards and Solar PV testing processes
• Experience in Solar PV / Manufacturing / Engineering Industry
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
