About the Role

Senior Engineer Quality (Mechanical)

Key Responsibilities

• Lead incoming quality inspection of fabricated sub-assemblies, sheet metal, fasteners, plastic parts, and post-coating processes.
  
• Develop, implement, and maintain quality control systems aligned with ISO standards.
  
• Inspect and test mechanical, electrical, and electronic parts to ensure compliance with specifications.
  
• Monitor process performance and initiate improvements as required.
  
• Collaborate with operations and suppliers to implement preventive and corrective actions.
  
• Conduct root cause analysis for product or process failures and ensure permanent corrective measures.
  
• Guide and support quality inspectors and shop-floor teams to ensure adherence to standards.
  
• Maintain quality records, documentation, and audit readiness.
  
• Act as a bridge between internal teams, suppliers, and customers to resolve quality issues effectively.
  
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement and zero-defect mindset within the organization.
  

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering (or equivalent).
  
• 58 years of experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control within the automotive or EV manufacturing industry.
  
• Hands-on experience in incoming inspection, coating processes, and assembly quality checks.
  
• Strong understanding of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and quality management systems.
  
• Proficient in 7 QC tools, FMEA, CAPA, and problem-solving methodologies.
