Senior Production Manager

**Location:** Vasai, Maharashtra **Department:** Production **Reports To:** Senior Production Manager OSD (Oral Solid Drugs) **Hiring Status:** Urgent Role Summary: We are looking for a qualified and experienced Production Manager to lead one production shift at our WHO-GMP certified pharmaceutical formulations facility in Vasai. The plant manufactures tablets, capsules, powders, and sachet-packed granules. The ideal candidate should have strong exposure to OSD manufacturing and a clear understanding of regulatory compliance, quality systems, and production efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Manage day-to-day production operations of one full shift for tablets, capsules, powders, and sachet granules. Ensure adherence to WHO-GMP and company SOPs across all activities. Supervise and lead a shift team of approximately 50 personnel, including operators, technicians, and shift supervisors. Oversee shift-level preventive and breakdown maintenance coordination. Review and update Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR) and Batch Packing Records (BPR) accurately and in a timely manner. Plan shift-wise production as per schedules and ensure optimum machine utilization. Ensure timely completion of production targets with a focus on quality, efficiency, and compliance. Coordinate with QA, QC, engineering, and warehouse teams for smooth operations. Monitor in-process checks, line clearance, and critical control points. Train team members on SOPs, GMP practices, and safety protocols. Identify and escalate production deviations, breakdowns, or quality concerns immediately. Maintain documentation as per Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and regulatory standards. Candidate Profile: Qualification: B.Pharm / M.Pharm / B.Sc or equivalent. Experience: Minimum 7 - 10 years in pharmaceutical manufacturing of OSD formulations, with at least 2 - 3 years in a supervisory/managerial role. Hands-on experience in tablet compression, capsule filling, powder and sachet granule manufacturing is essential. Strong understanding of WHO-GMP, GDP, safety protocols, and production planning. Ability to manage large teams and coordinate with multi-disciplinary departments. Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems is an added advantage.
